Although there is no official confirmation yet, there are more and more frequent rumors that Jake Paul will fight Anderson Silva at the end of next month, on October 29 to be exact. Portals reported that Silva received a license for Arizona, which is further proof that the fight could happen soon.
If this is truly agreed upon, it will undoubtedly be the biggest challenge for Jake that he has faced in the ring in his boxing career so far. Recently, he lost two fights, the first one against Tommy Fury due to the ban on entering the USA, and later he found a replacement, namely Hasim Rahman Jr., who failed to lose weight and that fight was canceled as well.
Jake Paul deserves praise if he ends up boxing Anderson Silva.
Although it should not be emphasized that Silva is the biggest challenge for Paul so far, Joe Rogan himself commented on the same thing: “I love it,” Rogan said on his most recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.
“If Jake Paul really decides to fight Anderson, that’s a very, very, very tough fight”. He continued, “Anderson, if he just went straight into boxing, would have been a f*cking world champion”.
Jake Paul normally has five fights in professional boxing, and he has already defeated two former MMA fighters, Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren. “Jake Paul is one of the smartest marketers that the f*cking sport has ever seen,” Rogan said.
“And he can fight. The thing is, people think he’s this YouTube guy, and he can’t fight. The way he knocked out Tyron Woodley? Come the f*ck on. “I’ve said this multiple times: If that guy was just a boxer and you never known anything about his background on YouTube and you saw him knock out Tyron Woodley with one shot, you’d be like, ‘Holy sh*t, there’s this new guy coming up, and he’s a bad motherf*cker. He’s really legit.' ”
