Without any doubt, on October 29 (10th month) Jake Paul will face the toughest test in his boxing career so far. The YouTuber, who has five boxing appearances and as many victories behind him, will cross arms with Anderson Silva, one of the greatest MMA fighters in history.
Unlike Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren, who were knocked out by Paul in previous boxing appearances, "Spider" is not a fighter whose wrestling is the foundation, and Paul will not have a noticeable advantage when it comes to physicals.
Silva has four professional boxing matches behind him (3-1), and last year he also defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the former middleweight world champion. In the ninth month of last year, Silva also boxed against Tito Ortiz, the former UFC champion.
82 seconds were enough for him to knock out Ortiz, and it was Tito who decided to comment on the upcoming match between Silva and Paul.
Tito Ortiz thinks Anderson Silva will be too much for Jake Paul
“I know he’s coming up on a fight now against Jake Paul,” Ortiz said on Paddy Pimblett’s “Chattin Pony Podcast”.
“I don’t think Jake Paul’s going to make it out of three rounds, and that’s my opinion, but I think it’s going to be a great fight, because I know Jake Paul puts in great work”. “Jake Paul thinks him being 47 is going to make a difference? He’s gonna be in for a rude awakening,” Ortiz added.
“One thing about Anderson, he takes this sport very seriously. He takes it as martial arts”. Last year, Ortiz was confident he could match Silva in a boxing match and Anderson was quick to show him how things were. It remains to be seen if the same outcome awaits Jake Paul or if the YouTuber will shock the world again.
