Interesting turn of events, as the most awaited matchup that almost seemed to get dismissed for April 29th is now under negotiations again where both the fighters are agreeing on terms. After going back and forth on multiple occasions, Fury vs Usyks was almost called off due to conflict with the conditions set; however, it seems to have taken a positive turn.

Tyson Fury, via his Instagram account, shared a post in which he says the purse split should be 70/30, and for each day Usyks and his team delay, he will deduct 1%. Oleksandr Uskys responded by sharing a post on Instagram, too, where he happens to accept fury’s offer but is asking him to donate 1 million pounds immediately after the match and said for delaying each day to confirm the deal; he shall pay 1% from his purse to Ukraine.

Usyks response to Tyson Fury and his team on Instagram

Oleksandr Usyks exact words on Instagram: “Hey greedy #Belly I accept your offer seventy/thirty split to fight on April 29th at Wembley. But you will promise to donate 1 mln pounds to Ukraine immediately after the fight.

And for every day of your delay you will pay 1% from your purse to Ukrainian people. Deal???? @tysonfury” The match is not called off because both parties were able to submit a confirmed agreement to the world boxing association before the deadline, and the match is most likely guaranteed to take place on April 29th in the Wembley Stadium.

The match hasn’t officially been announced yet, but the chances are high that we will see an announcement in the upcoming days. It’s very interesting how the odds have reversed, usyks promoter said that the fight is unlikely to happen, and within a few hours, both the teams are coming closer to an agreement than ever before.

If the negotiations are made successfully, it will undoubtedly be one of the best matches in the history of boxing. (Image source: Daily Star)
