Usyk Confirms Dubois as Next Opponent, Calls Fury "Bad Copy" of Muhammad Ali

The much-anticipated heavyweight title unification match between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, which was scheduled to take place on April 29th, has fallen through due to failed negotiations. The world was eager to witness the epic showdown between two of the best heavyweights in the game, but unfortunately, the fight will have to wait.

Fury's Demands Prove Too Much for Usyk

Tyson Fury's constant insistence on terms that greatly benefited himself tested the patience of Usyk and his team. Despite Usyk's agreement, Fury would always invent something new, leading the Ukrainian to put an end to the Briton's oppression.

As a result, Usyk withdrew from the negotiations and turned to new options.

Usyk to Face Daniel Dubois

Usyk's next opponent will be none other than Daniel Dubois, who earned his chance as a mandatory challenger according to the WBA organization.

Dubois recently submitted medical documents confirming that he has fully recovered from his knee injury and is ready to fight. In an interview with Volodymyr Kobelkov, Usyk confirmed that Dubois will be his next opponent. Usyk Calls Out Fury for Copying Muhammad Ali However, Usyk has criticized Fury for trying to copy heavyweight legend Muhammad Ali.

In the same interview with Volodymyr Kobelkov, Usyk said, "I see that nothing is going on, he is trying to play us, and I said, 'That's all, bye' He says, '70/30, I am the king. It's all thanks to me.' I don't respond to that.

I understand that this is a mental game." Usyk went on to say, "The king is the king. And the king does not need to shout that he is the king. He is trying very hard to copy the great Muhammad Ali. But the copy is very bad." Although we missed out on the heavyweight title unification match, it's not impossible for Usyk and Fury to come to an agreement later this year or maybe next year.

With the ever-changing landscape of boxing, who knows, maybe one of them will lose their belt or belts, and some other boxers will be in the game for the unification of the titles.
