Jaime Munguia looks forward to a knockout victory against Sergiy Derevyanchenko

The undefeated Jaime Munguia is set to clash against the middleweight fighter Sergiy Derevyanchenko tomorrow night at the Toyota Arena Ontario. This is Derevyanchenko’s toughest test yet, and a win can open new doors for him.

Jaime Munguia has never tasted defeat in his entire career; he has a professional record of 41-0 (33 Knockouts). Derevyanchenko recently came back on the winning page; before securing a victory against Joshua Conley, Derevyanchenko suffered three successive defeats.

In less than 48 hours, all boxing fans will get to witness an exciting match, and it will be very interesting to see who ends up winning tomorrow.

Jamie Munguia on fighting Derevyanchenko

The Mexican fighter recognizes the challenge ahead of him; Jamie Munguia acknowledges how much of a good fighter Derevyanchenko is and feels healthy at 168 pounds.

Interestingly, he revealed that he is willing to fight David Benavidez. He speaks about all of this in an interview with Fight Hype. “He’s a very good fighter. He always performs well, and definitely, for this fight, he’s doing the camp of his life,” Munguia said, as quoted by boxingnews24.com. “He’s coming for me, but in the same way, I’m preparing for him".

Munguia talks about fighting David Benavidez: “A Benavidez fight would be huge; it would be a great accomplishment for me. Benavidez is a really strong and tough guy, but I feel I’m capable of showing him that I’m really strong.

It’ll be a great fight”. Munguia further said: “Guys like [Daniel] Jacobs put him down, and I feel capable of knocking him out. I feel really powerful at 168, so let’s see. In some ways, being at 168 is great for me.

It’s a great weight. I think I’m better at 168, but if something is interesting at 160, I’m definitely going for it”. Since Jamie Munguia spoke about David Benavidez, it would be fair to assume that a victory tomorrow night could potentially lead to a match with David Benavidez.
