Deontay Wilder believes Oleksandr Usyk is scared to fight him

Deontay Wilder is unquestionably one of the most dangerous fighters out there; he last fought against Robert Helenius in October 2022 and is yet to make a return. Wilder has been presented with many offers, and it will be interesting to see who he ends up competing against next.

There have been talks about a potential match with Anthony Joshua, which could take place in December. Deontay Wilder has mentioned fighting Oleksandr Usyk quite a few times and has also presented Usyk and his team with offers to fight, but apparently, Usyk never accepted any of them, which is why Wilder believes Usyk is scared to fight him.

Deontay Wilder on Oleksandr Usyk

Recently in an interview with 78SPORTSTV, Deontay Wilder addresses that Oleksandr Usyk is 'terrified' of him and justifies his statement. In spite of offering a generous sum to Oleksandr Usyk, Wilder reveals that he still denied the offers to fight.

"I don't think Usyk really cares," Wilder said, as quoted by boxingscene.com. "As long as he ain't got to fight me. I don't think he cares, as long as he don't have to fight me, it's all good because that man is terrified of me".

Wilder further elaborated: "He's dodged me so many times, and I know. And don't act like I don't know, I don't want anyone to come out like, 'Usyk said this and that.' It would be a lie because I know a lot of ****. I'm in the business, I know.

He's been offered a lot of money to fight me, many times. But he's denied it. They said they do not want Bomb Squad problems".
