The highly-anticipated and the much-awaited heavyweight boxing crossover is officially on – the gypsy king Tyson Fury confirmed it on his Instagram account. 'The gamechanger' opponent is none other than Francis Ngannou, the former UFC fighter and the heavyweight champion of the world.

Ngannou vs Fury is expected to take place on the 28th of October in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Both fighters have been inactive for quite some time now, and their return will break the internet, and this fight will doubtlessly turn out to be one of the best crossover events in the history of the sport.

As far as PPV numbers as concerned, the match will definitely achieve a 'heavyweight' number.

Tyson Fury's thoughts on the fight

Tyson Fury seems to be confident in showing what he's capable of doing and looks forward to putting on a spectacular performance on 28th October.

"As soon as that bell goes, it'll be bombs away! This guy is supposed to be the hardest puncher in the world, but let's see how he reacts when he gets hit by the Big GK" Fury said, as quoted by skysports.com. "I can't wait to get back out there under the lights.

I'm looking forward to showing the world that The Gypsy King is the greatest fighter of his generation in an epic battle with another master of his craft. Fury further said: "Francis looked tough when he jumped in the ring after the Whyte fight, but there is no one tougher than me, and you'll all see that in devastating fashion on October 28".

Francis Ngannou's thoughts on the fight

Francis Ngannou last fought against Ciryl Gane in 2022 and seems to be eagerly waiting to seize this golden opportunity and to secure the biggest payday of his career. "I've been waiting to meet Tyson in the ring for the past three years.

My dream was always to box, and to box the best," Ngannou said, as quoted by skysports.com. "After becoming the undisputed MMA heavyweight champion, this is my opportunity to make that dream come true and cement my position as the baddest man on the planet.

Ngannou further said: "I'd like to thank Riyadh Season and my team at 3Point0 Labs for helping put this event together. All I will say to Tyson for now is he better dance in that ring because if I touch him, he's going to sleep".
