Anthony Taylor gained a lot of popularity after stepping in the ring against Tommy Fury and that fight happened because of Jake Paul, who played a huge role in initiating Anthony Taylor’s boxing career. Taylor and Paul were first sparring partners; in the starting, they had many heated arguments, but they squashed their beef and became cordial with each other.
Anthony Taylor does not fight for Most Valuable Promotions anymore; he has now joined KSI’s Misfits boxing and recently shocked the influencer boxing world by convincingly beating Salt Papi; his match against Paul Bamba is just a few hours away, and it will be interesting to see if he can secure one more win.
Anthony Taylor on Jake Paul
Recently in an interview with Mirror Fighting, Anthony Taylor shared his thoughts on Jake Paul setting up a platform for him to show his skills. I wouldn't say I owe a lot, but I would say thank you to Jake for the opportunity," Taylor said, as quoted by mirror.co.uk.
"He gave me a chance to showcase my skills but at the end of the day, I owe it to myself for getting this far. "He gave me a platform but I had to put in the work to stay on that platform, I had to put in the work to go above and beyond and get other contracts.
Taylor further said: I got on Misfits and I had to fight in London, in Dubai, in all these places and this was my hard work where people can say 'Hey, you put in the work, you earned it'". "I don't take it personally, he takes it personal, I just get annoyed when he disrespects the fight game by saying he's not going to show up or he's going to get disqualified.
I take it personal when you don't take this game serious, I don't have anything against Paul, he has something against me.
