Nate Diaz made his boxing debut in August against Jake Paul; all odds were stacked against Diaz, and most expected him to lose easily. To everyone’s surprise, almost the opposite happened; Nate Diaz showed grit and toughness, lasted all 10 rounds against Jake Paul, and secured a few dominating moments.

Jake Paul won the match via unanimous decision. Very few expected Nate Diaz to go the distance; his performance was admired by many, but In Clay Collard’s eyes, Nate Diaz’s performance wasn’t up to the mark.

Collard believes Diaz’s boxing skills are very poor, and Jake didn’t challenge himself against a tough opponent, which is why Clay Collard expressed his urge to step in and box Jake Paul himself.

In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, Clay Collard explained why he thinks Nate Diaz’s boxing skills are underwhelming.

He also took the liberty to call out Jake Paul. “I was like they got Nate Diaz and I thought he might do all right but then watching him box, it was like he was a low-level amateur who didn’t know how to throw a punch properly,” Collard said as quoted by

“At first, I’m like OK Diaz is tough, he might do the MMA niche proud against the YouTube guy in boxing. Then he came out and looked like garbage. His boxing looked like. Ducking his head down, ducking down all low, leading with that.

Like where’s your jab at, bro? You’re long, you’re lanky, throw a jab, Nate Diaz. It’s extremely frustrating. The guy can’t box, sorry. Let’s get somebody in there that knows how to box a little bit.

Let me fight him, let’s find out. I don’t know how it would turn out. Tell Jake Paul to sign the contract and we’ll see.I’m going to keep talking. Maybe my name isn’t big enough for him but him for that then.

I don’t have a big enough following. Let me fight you and we’ll see who has a bigger following after that. I’m going to have to run my mouth a little more and get that payday”.
