Huawei launches world’s first 5G communication hardware for autos

On Monday, the 22nd of April 2019, world’s largest telecommunication gear provider, Huawei Technologies had made a statement saying that the Chinese telecommunication equipment maker had developed the world’s first 5G communication hardware for the automotive industry, as Chinese tech tycoon had begun to spread its wings to become a key supplier of 5G equipment for autonomous driving technology.

At Monday’s (April 22nd) statement, Huawei had been quoted saying that their MH5000 module chip was based on Balong 5000 5G chips which the company had already launched in January. Citing the move as a transforming moment for the self-driving vehicles, over their statement, Huawei said, “Based on this chip, Huawei has developed the world’s first 5G car module with high speed and high quality.

As an important communication product for future intelligent car transportation, this 5G car module will promote the automotive industry to move towards the 5G era”. Besides, the world’s no. 1 telecommunication equipment manufacturer had also added that the company would make their 5G network technology for automotive sectors available during the third quarter of the year, despite a flurry of disdainful accusations brough into light by US administration including espionage on behalf of China and an exclusive funding by Chinese state intelligence.

As a matter of fact, Huawei had been testing advanced technologies for connected cars over the Chinese Cities such as Shanghai, Wuxi and Shenzhen in recent past, and the tech magnate had finally revealed its module over the Shanghai auto show on Monday (April 22nd), which began last week.
