World’s largest telco gear maker, China’s Huawei Technologies has been reported to appraise its relationship with the American multinational courier delivery service, FedEx Group, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, after it had claimed that the US package delivery company had diverted two parcels destined to Huawei into America without any prior notification.
Besides, Huawei Technologies had also claimed that the American courier delivery service had been attempting to reroute two other parcels, destined to Huawei headquarter in Asia. On last Friday (May 24th), Huawei officials had been quoted saying to the press that FedEx had diverted two packages to United States sent from Japan addressed to Huawei headquarter in Asia, while it had also been attempting to divert two other packages sent from Vietnam to United States without any authorization.
Apart from that, Huawei had also provided images of FedEx’s tracking records, which could have fanned the flames further of an already escalated trade war with United States, analysts suggested. In point of fact, Huawei also added that the four packages contained only papers and documents and there had been no suspicious technology, yet Huawei had declined to clarify why FedEx Group would try to divert some of its company documents to United States.
