On Wednesday, the 24th of July 2019, Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc., which operates two chains of fast-food restaurants, headquartered in Canton, Massachusetts, said that it had been planning to add Beyond Meat’s plant-based sausages to its breakfast menus at some stores in Manhattan, pointing towards a torrential run of the LA-based vegan burger maker.
In fact, the donut and coffee chain store in Manhattan would be latest to join the vegan wagon of Beyond Meat, as Canadian fast food Restaurant Brand, International Inc.’s Tim Hortons had added plant-based options earlier last year.
Besides, following the reveal of the report, shares of both Beyond Meat and Dunkin’ had been up by more than 2 percent just a few minutes before the closing bell on Wednesday (July 24th). Following Wednesday’s (July 24th) announcement, Beyond Meat’s Chief Executive Officer, Ethan Brown had been quoted saying that the partnership had been a strong leap forward towards making plant-based meats more accessible and easier to enjoy.
According to the company statement, Dunkin’ plant-based breakfast would come with a sausage patty, cheese in English muffin and an egg, while the company had also added that it had been exploring an option to roll out the menu on all of its restaurants in United States.
