General Motors to revive ‘Hummer’ name with electric pickups, SUVs

Detroit-based United States leading carmaker, General Motors Co., has been exploring an option to capitalize on its ‘Hummer’ name by introducing a new family of e-pickup trucks alongside Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) under the brand name, while the Detroit carmaker was sketching out a plan to promote the return of its long-hailed Hummer brand with a Super Bowl ad featured by the NBA star LeBron James, at least two people with knowledge regarding the subject-matter had unveiled late on Friday, the 10th of January 2020, on condition of anonymity as the sources were not authorized to speak over the issue on public.
