Tesla to create Chinese-style e-vehicles, set to open design & research centre

On Wednesday, the 15th of January 2020, the Palo Alto, CA-based electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Inc. had issued a recruitment notice at its official WeChat account, saying that the most dominant player in the e-vehicle industry thus far, Tesla had been mulling an option to roll out a research and design centre in order to create “Chinese-Style” vehicles in China, the largest auto market across the globe.

In factuality, as astounding as it may sound, Tesla Inc. had really brewing an option to re-design its e-vehicles specially for the Chinese nationals, while a number of industry analysts had branded the concept a brave one that no overseas carmaker had tried in China adding the Wednesday’s (January 16th) notice was apparently made in a bid to recruit Chinese designers alongside other staffs to research and develop Chinese-style Tesla units.

Aside from that, adding the potential applicants would apply for Tesla Inc.’s new R&D jobs in China until February 1st, the recruitment notice said, “In order to achieve a shift of ‘Made in China’ to ‘Designed in China’, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has proposed a very cool thing - set up a design and research center in China. ”
