Amazon wants trump to testify on his order 'to screw AWS' in Pentagon deal

On Monday, the 10th of February 2020, the world’s largest online retailer, Amazon.com Inc.’s cloud computing wing, AWS (Amazon Web Service) said that it was looking to expose a bitter truth regarding a $10 billion Pentagon deal that Microsoft seized a day after US President Trump’s hint to set aside the AWS adding its lawsuit was aimed at deposing US President Trump alongside Defense Secretary Mark Esper on whether Trump was trying to “screw Amazon” over the Pentagon’s $10 billion cloud computing contract which was awarded to its arch-rival Microsoft Corp.

Aside from that, according to the court document, the Silicon Valley Giant, Amazon.com Inc. had accused Trump of exercising undue influence over the Pentagon decision to deny AWS the $10 billion cloud computing contract, nonetheless, it was no hidden truth that Amazon Boss Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man on record and the US President Donald Trump had been on a collision course since 2016 US Presidential election, when Trump accused Bezos’-owned newspaper the Washington Post to pick sides of Democratic contender Hillary Clinton.

Besides, adding that Amazon was trying to find out on how Trump’s comment to “screw Amazon” had influenced Pentagon’s decision making process, the Amazon’s lawsuit said on Monday (February 10th), “(Amazon) seeks discovery demonstrating exactly how President Trump’s order to ‘screw Amazon’ was carried out during the decision making process….Without this, the Court cannot objectively and fully evaluate AWS’s credible and well-grounded allegations about bias and bad faith. ”
