American Airlines to launch its first direct flight from Bangalore to Seattle

On Thursday, the 13th of February 2020, the US aviation industry leader, Texas-based American Airlines Group Inc. employing 126,600 workers across the globe as of December 31st, 2018, had issued a statement saying that the Texas airliner would soon launch its first direct flight from Bangalore to Seattle, Washington, rolling out a new route in a bid to grab a bigger bite of its lucrative corporate customers’ base from the high-tech city of India, widely contemplated as the largest tech HubSpot in Southeast Asia.

On top of that, according to American Airlines’ Thursday’s (February 13th) statement, the Texas-based multinational airliner had also added that it had been planning to launch its new route as early as from October this year, while as a part of its slated Seattle to Bangalore direct flight launch, the leading US airlines had stretched its partnership with the Seattle-based Alaska Airlines, which would be transporting its Indian passengers in to other parts of the United States.

Meanwhile, referring to Bangalore’s commercial & geographical significance for American aviation industry, American Airlines’ senior Vice President of network strategy, Vasu Raja said to the reporters following Thursday’s (February 13th) announcement, “Bangalore is one of our highest demand destinations for our corporate accounts, really all over the country. ”
