Late on Friday, the 13th of March 2020, the co-founder of Alibaba Group Holdings, Jack Ma, an ordinary salesman turned to in a Chinese billionaire, had pledged to donate as much as two million protective masks for distribution across the EU nations, while the first round of 500,000 masks alongside other critical medical equipment such as testing kits had landed on Friday (March 13th) at Brussels, which would be Alibaba’s European HubSpot for e-commerce shipments.

Besides, Jack Ma had also promised one million masks alongside 500,000 coronavirus testing kits to the United States.
