Matt Hardy: "It was disheartening to hear the arrest about my brother"

Following yet another arrest of his brother Jeff Hardy, who was also banned from All Elite Wrestling shows and content, his brother and tag team partner Matt Hardy has finally made himself heard. In fact, on Twitter he wrote: "It was disheartening to hear the news about my brother.

Recovery is not a linear process and I will continue to do everything possible to help my brother be healthy. Being healthy and fit is the most important thing for Jeff, his wife, his children and our family right now."

Matt Hardy's wife, Reby, had reacted in a very particular way to this news, also sparking the controversy on the web that found her out of place given the delicate situation.

Matt Hardy's words before the accident

As already mentioned in the previous news, the Hardys were supposed to perform on Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite in an AEW Tag Team Championship ladder match, a contest that obviously was canceled.

During a chat with Lucha Libre Online, Matt Hardy had talked about the match as he couldn't wait to face it in case Jeff got the green light from the doctors after a small injury suffered during AEW Double Or Nothing.

"As long as the medics give Jeff the green light, and I think they will, we really want to go out there and take the arena down in this three-way ladder match and become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions. If that happens, we will become the first tag team in pro wrestling history to hold the top duo titles in four different decades.

It was really nice to collaborate with Jeff again, especially in AEW, where I feel we get highlighted in a certain light that he stays true to the legendary status, which we hope to have achieved. People tell us. We honestly don't necessarily feel that way because we're two little kids jumping on a trampoline at the end of the day. We dreamed of doing it."
