Hollywood actress Anne Heche was seriously injured in a car accident that happened in the suburbs of Los Angeles. As TMZ reports, she lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a nearby garage. Passers-by tried to help her, but she decided to continue driving.

After a few seconds, she hit another house again, and her Mini Cooper caught fire. It is assumed that she was under the influence of alcohol, given that a bottle was found in the car. Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed the news to local media outlets. Humphrey said the car stopped within a 738-square-foot two-story home built in 1952. He also revealed that the crash caused structural compromise and fire.

“Fifty-nine Firefighters took 65 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure, and rescue one female adult found within the vehicle, who has been taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in critical condition,” he added.

Heche is in critical condition
