Colonel Yevhen Mezhevikin, commander of Tactical Group Adam spoke about the current situation in Bakhmut and the potential outcome. Mezhevikin hopes that the Ukrainians will manage to defend themselves, because if they succeed in their plans, Russia could experience a knockout.
"If the Ukrainians defend their recent gains, last month's battles at Bakhmut could prove to be a turning point in Ukraine's defense against Russia, not only in stopping the latest Russian offensive, but also in creating the conditions to deliver a knockout blow," Mezhevikin said.
Mezhevikin emphasized that the Russians are not as persistent as they were at the very beginning. "The frequency of attacks has decreased several times. Before, they could attack in all directions simultaneously and in groups of no less than 20, 30 or 40 people, but it is gradually decreasing," -he continued.
The colonel revealed what tactics the Russians will use in the coming period. "All that remains for them is to try to advance through the city, because the buildings protect them from fire," he concluded.
Volodymyr Zelensky is disappointed: It's clear how it will end
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, on the other hand, is concerned about the current situation.
Zelensky is disappointed by the fact that the Russians will deploy nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. It seems that the meetings between Putin and the Chinese President did not bring any results. "The sign that Russia will deploy nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus indicates a failed meeting with China.
Russia needs to show (that it has) some credibility, which Russia has completely lost under the leadership of President Putin," Zelensky said. However, Zelensky is convinced that Ukraine will be the final winner. "But he couldn't do it on the battlefield, and even though they started such a bloody war, it's clear how it will end.
The problem is that he simply does not spare our men and kills them, but he does not count his men. But these are jobs of the Russian Federation," Zelensky said.
