Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, commented on Israel's current policies towards Palestine. Borrell emphasizes that Israelis should refrain from disrupting the supply of water, electricity, and food to the Palestinian population.

Josep Borrell is aware of the consequences it can cause.
"Israel has the right to defend (itself), but it must be done in accordance with international law, humanitarian law, and some decisions are contrary to international law.

Some of the actions - and the United Nations has already said this, such as the suspension of water , cutting off electricity, cutting off food to a mass of civilians is against international law," Borrell said at a meeting in Oman.

Borrell: We must continue our support to the Palestinian Authority

Borrell's remarks came just one day after the European Commission refrained from announcing a suspension of Palestinian aid. This decision faced criticism from certain member states, prompting foreign ministers to convene earlier today to assess the situation.

"The vast majority of member states believe that we must continue our support to the Palestinian Authority and that payments due should not be delayed," Borrell said. The situation is undeniably complex, as Israel must ensure its security, but at the same time, it is crucial not to resort to threats of cutting off essential resources such as electricity, water, and food.

When examining the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the intricacies and historical roots of the situation become evident. This enduring conflict has deep historical roots, and many people worldwide share the hope that a peaceful resolution can be achieved in the near future.

The ultimate goal is to prevent further casualties and suffering for both sides. Throughout history, the world has witnessed instances of hypocrisy when addressing this conflict. Realistic assessments and genuine efforts to find a lasting solution are indeed necessary.

Achieving a resolution to this conflict remains a global imperative, one that requires sincere dedication and cooperation from all parties involved.
