White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan mentioned in an interview with CNN that Israeli authorities had communicated to him about the restoration of water supply into the Gaza Strip. The world has risen to its feet in the last few days and many believe that Israel is violating international norms.

Many emphasize that the citizens of the Gaza Strip are not the main culprits. Israel had cut off the water supply to Gaza following a surprise attack by Hamas over the past weekend, resulting in the loss of hundreds of Israeli lives and the taking of dozens of hostages.

Palestinians have been in trouble because of a severe shortage of water, food, and electricity for several days. It is impossible to live in such conditions, especially if we consider that this is the 21st century!

Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden have a deal

The Israel Defense Forces have been conducting extensive operations in the Gaza Strip for days, which regrettably have led to a significant number of civilian casualties.

The situation is chaotic in both countries and it seems that even worse days could await us. The world is in favor of Israel, and they have almost ignored the needs of the Palestinian population. Israel's Energy Minister revealed that the decision was a result of discussions between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden.

The move to reopen water access at specific points aligns with Israel's Gaza policy, as stated by Israel Katz. Nevertheless, aid workers operating in Gaza have not yet witnessed evidence of the water being reinstated, and a spokesperson for the Hamas-led Gaza government reported that water was still not flowing.

The question is what kind of policies are being pursued at the moment and what will happen in the coming period. It is really sad if the decision to release the water again is not followed. This could cause even greater frustration of the Palestinian people and greater conflicts in the next period.
