US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed shared concern with South Korea over increased military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow, describing it as a "two-way street" involving arms shipments and technical support.

At a time when the world is in a chaotic situation, and the war is waning on two fronts: Ukraine and the Middle East, this kind of cooperation does not inspire optimism. The world has been in fear of a new world war ever since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine.

The conflict in the Middle East only deepened the fear. This kind of cooperation does not inspire optimism for many. The discussions included the consideration of an extended deterrence strategy to address North Korean threats, utilizing US strategic equipment, including nuclear forces.

Blinken highlighted the scrutiny on Russia's potential support for North Korea's ballistic missile programs and nuclear technology. Blinken has previously urged that these types of co-operation can only be cause for concern.

Reaction from Moscow and Pyongyang

While Pyongyang and Moscow deny arms sales agreements, concerns persist among the US, South Korea, and Japan about the flow of weapons and military equipment from North Korea to Russia.

The US and its allies are intensifying cooperation to address the security challenges posed by North Korea's nuclear weapons and missile development, in violation of UN Security Council resolutions. China was mentioned as having a constructive role in managing tensions between Pyongyang and Russia.

The G7 ministers condemned the transfer of North Korean weapons to Russia, and there were calls for a humanitarian halt to the Israel-Hamas conflict, with South Korea monitoring reports of North Korean involvement with interest.

Pyongyang denies reports linking it to Hamas weaponry. However, all these deniengs have no basis and it is difficult to believe in the sincere intentions of leaders around the world. Many policies are conducted 'behind the scenes' and bring disastrous things.

We hope that this time we will not experience the scenarios from the past, and that there really are no collaborations that can result in bigger problems in the world.
