Vladimir Putin has held firm views since the onset of the Ukraine conflict, showing little regard for the current state of global politics. He asserted that a new, fairer, and more democratic international system is taking shape to better suit the majority worldwide.
Putin has stressed this inevitable change multiple times. However, the question is what happens behind the curtain.
"The topic of the [current] forum is quite urgent: ‘Horizons of post-globalization.’ It is obvious that the model of globalization, formed mainly by Western countries, naturally based on their own interests, has exhausted itself and is in a deep crisis.
A new, more just and democratic system of international relations is being established, which will meet the demands of the world majority."
Vladimir Putin and his views
Vladimir Putin believes that a specific group of individuals in the world perceive themselves as 'above all.'
He points to the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East as prime examples of this belief. The Russian president has encouraged that he is ready for peace, but if we look deeper into his statements, it is clear that he is not ready to compromise at this time.
"However, a prominent group of countries accustomed to dominating the world will stop at nothing to maintain their waning influence and is employing outright blackmail and coercion, manipulating the international legal system into some sort of 'order based on the rules.’ Such a destabilizing line has provoked the crisis situation around Ukraine, the tragic escalation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict,"- Vladimir Putin said, as quoted by news.am!
Judging by his statements, the war in Ukraine will not end anytime soon, until the leaders of individual countries change their policies. In this kind of atmosphere, it is difficult to expect any progress. Such statements will only deepen conflicts and lead to even greater consequences. The biggest victims in the whole story are the warring parties who have victims every day.
