Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Lieutenant General Oleksandr Syrskyi as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after dismissing General Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

Valerii Zaluzhnyi left a big mark on the Ukrainian military, but given Ukraine's military failures, it seems the time has come to say goodbye. For months, there have been rumors that Valerii will leave the Ukrainian army, given the dissatisfaction of the Ukrainian leader.

Oleksandr Syrskyi will be the man for whom Zelenskyy has huge hopes. The Ukrainian leadership believes that Oleksandr Syrskyi is the person who will make big changes and lead Ukraine to the right path, the path of victory!

Although the Russians are doing well at the front for now, there are assumptions that the Ukrainians under the leadership of such an experienced commander will manage to achieve a financial victory.

However, it is too early to make any predictions. What Syrskyi can be happy about is the fact that he has enormous support from the political leadership of this country. To have confidence in such difficult moments for Ukraine is a great honor.

In an interview with the media, Zelenskyy explained his decision, which caused a large number of reactions. The Ukrainian leader has no doubts that Syrskyi is the right person for this kind of job. His qualities and experience were crucial for this decision of the political leadership of Ukraine.

"This is not about surnames, and certainly not about politics. It is about our military system, about the management of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and about including the experience of commanders hardened in this war," said Zelenskyy.

Syrskyi has already proven himself as a great leader. His previous successes were the reason why he gained trust again.

Syrskyi led two successful counter-offensives in the war against Russia before his troops were bogged down in one of the conflict's most contentious and costly battles.

The new commander confirmed during the battle in Bahmut that the decision to defend was correct, considering the losses of the Russian army. The Ukrainians proved to be great fighters considering that they managed to keep a certain part of the territory in the battles. Ultimately, Bahmut fell, to the dismay of the Ukrainians.

Already earlier, the popular commander had interesting tactics: Primarily in the defense of the capital city of Kyiv. Their tactics included: Small units and quick maneuvers. They knew that this was their only option to defeat the numerically stronger carrier.

The only bad thing about him was the reaction of the US leadership. They were not happy with Syrskyi and his methods of warfare, considering that he got involved in the Battle of Bahmut.

Despite everything, US leaders supported the Ukrainian president and the rest of the political leadership after this decision. They believe that it is not necessary to get involved in such crucial lessons, and have left it to the Ukrainian leader to decide on the future of this country. The people of Ukraine have nothing left but to hope that this is a good decision by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to media reports, the Ukrainian leader has already announced his intentions. Zelenskyy knew that Zaluzhnyi could not achieve the goals they had set.

Oleksandr Syrskyi and his interesting biography: He learned at a top Moscow military sc

Syrskyi learned at a top Moscow military school and began in the Soviet Army in 1986. After Ukraine gained independence in 1991, he moved up the ranks. Serving in key roles, he faced direct combat with Russians during Crimea's annexation and the eastern Ukraine war. Appointed Ukraine's ground forces head in 2019, some see his Bahmut combat as old-style tactics. As he follows Zelenskyy, the president aims for victory in upcoming battles, facing fewer options.

Oleksandr Syrskyi is firmly convinced of the final victory of his army, although on the other hand, he is aware of how dangerous Russia is at the moment. His experience during the war will be important for Ukrainians.

The Ukrainian people hope that a much better future awaits them under the new leadership, given that the war has been going on for two years.

The situation is still tense.

Neither side has any intention of giving up. In such conditions, peace does not seem like a realistic option.

What can make Ukrainians happy is the willingness of their president to do everything necessary so that Ukrainians can finally experience peace and freedom!

“Only changes and constant improvement of the means and methods of warfare will make it possible to achieve success on this path,” said Gen Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Ukrainians hope that there may be a turnaround in the future. However, the most important thing is the readiness of the soldiers and the military leadership to do everything in their power to win!
