After Vladimir Putin secured victory in the presidential elections in Russia, regaining his presidency, reactions flooded in from around the world. Foreign politicians are unsure of the true democratic nature of these elections, especially considering Putin's celebration of victory alongside his opponents.

In his speech, the Russian leader emphasized his intention to continue the war against Ukraine. Additionally, Putin believes that Russians are compelled to take up arms in these challenging times for their country. Speaking about his new mandate, Putin highlighted that special attention will be given to the war in Ukraine and its operations.

He particularly focused on traitors, emphasizing that they will face special treatment.

His statements could not go unnoticed, and his greatest enemy, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, reacted to the Russian leader's statements. The Ukrainian president believes that Putin manipulated the elections again. He believes that the Russian leader is obsessed with power and is ready to rule until the end of his life. Zelenskyy has pointed out many times so far that Putin is one of the greatest evils that could happen to humanity. In addition, he believes that there is a huge danger from Putin not only for Ukraine but also for the whole world.

"The Russian dictator has been imitating elections once again. The whole world realised that this political figure, like it often happened in history, just got obsessed with power and is doing everything to rule for eternity. There is no evil he would stop at to preserve his personal power. There is no one in the world who is safe from this."- Zelenskyy said, as quoted by PRAVDA!

The Ukrainian leader once again referred to the chaos that reigns in his country. Frustrated by the fact that they have conflicted with Russia for more than a year, Zelenskyy calls Russian operations a crime. He stressed that Russians must feel the consequences of their actions, and there is no doubt that this will happen in the future. Vladimir Putin and his regime managed to establish an authoritative system in which they gained a lot of sympathy from the Russians. According to many, Russians who do not support Putin are a minority.

"I am grateful to every state, every leader, all international organisations which call and will keep calling a spade a spade.

Everything Russia is doing in the occupied territories of Ukraine is a crime. Everything the Russian murderers have done in this war for the sake of eternal Putin’s rule must receive a fair punishment."- he continued.

Zelenskyy believes that Vladimir Putin will face justice in the future and end up in The Hague. The Ukrainian president is ready to fight for justice, which also includes Putin's extradition to The Hague.

"He is only afraid of one thing – justice. There is no and cannot be any legitimacy in this imitation of elections. This figure must end up on trial in Hague. This is what we, those who value life and decency, must fight for."- he concluded.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Vladimir Putin goals

A little over a month ago, Zelenskyy spoke about Putin's intentions for the future, aware that if Ukraine is defeated, the Russian president will intend to attack neighboring countries, and perhaps continue with his plans.

Zelenskyy emphasized the gravity of the situation, stressing that Russian aggression won't stop until Ukraine is completely conquered. He referenced historical examples to illustrate the potential consequences of appeasement, warning that failure to resist Putin's ambitions could lead to further aggression in neighboring countries.

Zelenskyy highlighted the urgency of the situation, stating that Ukraine is currently engaged in a defensive struggle against Russian forces. He stressed the lack of explicit support from international partners, indicating that while discussions are ongoing, concrete signals of support have yet to materialize.

The Ukrainian leader has repeatedly called on Western countries to help him defend against Russian aggression. Political and military experts believe that the war would have ended long ago if Western countries had not assisted Ukraine. Zelenskyy is aware that without concrete help, it will be difficult to resist such an opponent as Russia. Fighting against one of the largest military forces is challenging, but the courage of Ukrainian soldiers, who have been resisting for two years and more, must be praised. Although they receive assistance in the form of weapons, it is difficult to defend without brave soldiers.

The Ukrainians want only one thing, and that is for the war to end. This situation is not beneficial to anyone. The whole world feels fear and hopes for the end of this conflict.
