Although some doubted whether Israel would retaliate against Iran's attacks on them, there is now no doubt. Israelis are prepared to retaliate and send a clear message. Iran launched 185 suicide drones, 110 projectiles, and 36 cruise missiles towards Israel overnight.

However, the Israelis successfully defended themselves and managed to shoot down almost all drones. In addition to Israeli fighter jets, aircraft from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Jordan participated in blocking dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles over Jordanian territory.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog sent a clear message to the media after such an attack by Iran. The Israeli president believes that this move by the Iranians is a call to war. There has long been suspicion of such an attack by Iran, and after Israel attacked the Iranian consulate in Damascus, it was only a matter of time before the Iranians retaliated.

Iranian leaders were not willing to passively watch such attacks, ready to retaliate against Israelis as soon as possible. And they did so. Iranian leaders are frustrated with the behavior of Israelis, whom they have already warned regarding the attack on Palestine.

Herzog did not want to reveal Israel's intentions, but they are currently considering their options. Herzog is frustrated with the behavior of leaders in Tehran who want to destabilize security in the region.

“Every one of us should look and ask what would we do if we were attacked from the four corners of the Middle East. This is a declaration of war.

We are considering our options and I am quite confident we will take steps to protect our people. There is an evil empire in Tehran, which has its proxies all over the region and with cells all over the world. They're spending billions of dollars just in undermining stability in the region.”- Isaac Herzog said, as quoted by MIRROR!

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant emphasized that Israel will retaliate against Iran. Israeli leaders are frustrated as they don't need any more enemies at this time. Gallant is someone who will not silently watch attacks on his country. He is ready to respond appropriately, and the coming days will reveal what kind of response it will be.

“A direct Iranian attack will require an appropriate Israeli response against Iran," Gallant informed U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, as per statements released by his office.

Gallant: The campaign is not yet over

Gallant has emphasized since the beginning of the conflict in Palestine and Hamas's attacks on Israel that he is prepared for various scenarios in the future. The Israeli leadership is aware that the coming days may bring many new developments. Gallant believes that Israelis must prepare themselves in the best possible way, aware that danger could strike again. He is pleased with the army's response, which has repeatedly demonstrated readiness and courage.

"The campaign is not yet over - we must remain alert and attentive to the instructions published by the IDF and Homefront Command. We must be prepared for every scenario. Having said this, we have thwarted the most significant wave [of the attack], and we did so successfully.”- Gallant continued.

Since the beginning of the conflict, Israelis have expressed happiness about the excellent relationship they have with the United States. Although it seemed recently that Israel and the United States didn't have as great relations as before, primarily due to warnings from President Joe Biden regarding operations in Rafah, the situation is different. The United States has shown readiness to assist Israel, with optimism that there will be fewer such scenes in the future. Gallant hopes that Israel and the US will continue to have equally great relations in the future.

"Together with the United States and additional partners, we managed to defend the territory of the State of Israel. Very little damage was caused – this is the result of the IDF’s impressive operations," he said.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant's words may be cause for concern for the Iranians. It's difficult to expect that Israelis won't retaliate in kind, which could further deepen conflicts and create even greater chaos, not only in the Middle East but also spread to other countries. This may be the greatest fear of world leaders. Looking at the current situation in the world, it's hard to be optimistic and hope for a positive outcome.

The war in Ukraine is an additional cause for concern. Two conflicts are enough to generate even bigger problems. We will see what the Iranians intend to do in the coming period. They are aware that Israelis could respond now, but there is also a chance that Iranians could do the same again in the near future.
