Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke in his latest interview with REV about interesting and current topics worldwide, as well as events in Ukraine. For several weeks now, Zelenskyy has been emphasizing the need for assistance from Western countries, stressing that Ukraine requires such aid. On the other hand, Zelenskyy believes that Ukrainians will lose this war without such support.

The Ukrainian leader does not wish to encourage pessimism but also refrains from being overly optimistic when things don't look favorable for Ukraine. Zelenskyy hopes that Ukraine can primarily defend itself in this conflict. This is the foremost thought of this leader, followed by potential future offensives.

The reporter was curious about Zelenskyy's plans regarding the future of the country and whether he expects things to be easier for Ukraine next year. Zelenskyy emphasizes that it is too early to think about the next year, as they are currently focusing on resisting in the present and fighting against a formidable opponent.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reflected on the future, stressing their focus on immediate priorities. He emphasized the importance of addressing present challenges and uncertainties, as the level of support for Ukraine remains uncertain. Additionally, he acknowledged the unpredictable nature of global events and political dynamics, including those in the US Congress.

The current situation is not promising for them, making it difficult to make concrete predictions about what will happen in the coming weeks, especially next year. Ukrainians do not have time to contemplate the future of this country; their primary focus is on defending themselves from Vladimir Putin's regime and his army.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that a decision will be made soon, preferably within days or weeks, regarding the assistance they're seeking. He emphasized the importance of a positive decision but stressed the uncertainty surrounding future events.

US politicians themselves don't know what will happen, so it's difficult for Zelenskyy to predict when aid will arrive, or if it will arrive at all. Their allies are much quieter this time around than they were before. It seems they are not as willing to provide assistance as they were at the beginning of the war. The reasons for this? It's hard to know, but there are many theories. Such a situation is absolutely unfavorable for Ukrainians.

Zelenskyy stressed the urgency of the situation, highlighting the vast difference in military capabilities between Ukraine and Russia, particularly in terms of aircraft and artillery ratios. He questioned how Ukraine could effectively engage in a conflict with Russia under such imbalanced conditions.

Zelenskyy explained that they are not requesting missiles with ranges of 2000 or 3000 kilometers, nor are they asking for quantities like 500 or 300 aircraft, as Russia possesses. In reality, Russia is using 300 aircraft only within the territory of Ukraine.

From the beginning of the war, it was clear that the situation on the front was not balanced. Russia is known as one of the largest armies not only in Europe but in the world. Fighting against such a force is a difficult task. Predictions at the start of the war suggested that Russians would quickly achieve their goal and occupy Ukraine. However, the Ukrainian army demonstrated bravery and readiness to respond.

It appears that Russians were not prepared for such a response, expecting it to be much easier to conquer this neighboring country. At this moment, it is difficult to expect resistance from the Ukrainian army, considering the situation regarding armament and military strength. Russians have never been this dominant, and experts and analysts believe they will try to exploit the weaknesses of the Ukrainian army.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacts to statements from Mike Johnson

Zelenskyy has reacted to statements made by Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, who emphasized that Congress could finally wrap things up this week and send aid to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader views this situation as strange, considering it a disgrace for the world. At a time when Ukraine needs help, US politicians are divided and debating, while civilians and soldiers in Ukraine are losing their lives.

Zelenskyy stresses that each politician is acting in their own interest, disregarding the victims in Ukraine. He is contemplating deeply about the future, highlighting potential scenarios if Russians achieve victory in Ukraine. One of the theories is that a third world war could erupt.

"This is pure politics. Nobody cares how many people are dying in Ukraine every day. They only care about their approval ratings. That’s what it’s all about. They’re forgetting that dead people don’t care about ratings. If Ukraine falls and there’s a war on other NATO member countries and there will be a war. And then the US soldiers will be defending and dying, that’s what it’s going to be."- Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
