Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, despite receiving a $61 billion aid package from the US, is calling on other countries to help in various ways, hoping that this can help defend and achieve victory. The Ukrainian leader has placed a special emphasis on air defense systems, which he considers crucial for Ukraine's victory over Russia. Zelensky has addressed Russian successes with jets, indicating that Ukrainians must have a way to counter air attacks.

“This year, Russian jets (have) already used more than 9,000 guided aerial bombs against Ukraine and we need the ability to shoot down the air combat aircraft so that they do not approach our positions and borders,” Zelenskyy said.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is aware that Russians are making progress day by day, so he hopes for assistance from others, expecting they can defend themselves. The Ukrainian leader also expects progress and the achievement of goals in the war. In recent weeks, there has been immense concern for Zelenskyy as his army ran out of ammunition and much more. Zelenskyy knew that in such an atmosphere, there were fewer chances for Ukrainians to defend themselves. Volodymyr wants to calm the situation and help his country.

“While we were waiting for a decision on the American support, the Russian army managed to seize the initiative on the battlefield,” Zelenskyy said.

“We can still now, not only stabilize the front, but also move forward achieving our Ukrainian goals in the war,” he continued.

UK Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has also expressed readiness to assist Ukraine, emphasizing that allies can take risks and help Ukraine in these difficult times. For him, the priority is for Ukrainians to have a good defense system, not focusing on just one thing. Patriot anti-aircraft missiles have proven to be excellent, and the Spaniards intend to deliver them to Ukraine. This was confirmed by the Spanish defense minister as well.

After the US confirmed that assistance would be provided to Kyiv, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the president of this country, Joe Biden, the Congress, and the Americans who have been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the war. During these few months when Ukrainians were without assistance and faced huge problems with weapons, Russians made progress on the front. The Ukrainian leader intends to take matters into his own hands and change the situation on the front.

"Now, we will do everything to compensate for the six months that have passed in debate and doubt,"-Zelenskyy said.

Zelensky underscored the importance of leveraging everything Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin have done to Ukraine during this period against them. He emphasized that Putin's actions at the front, attacks on their energy sector and infrastructure, and terror against their cities and villages should serve as a rallying point for everyone worldwide who values life to exert more pressure on Russia.

The hope of the Ukrainian leader and the population of Ukraine is for all countries to be ready for sanctions against Russia. This is one way to weaken the Russians, their economy, which can certainly trigger a domino effect regarding the overall situation in this country.  So far, Russia hasn't felt such huge consequences considering the sanctions that have been coming for two years now.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared his appreciation for UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, Hunt

Zelenskyy, as expected, is someone who harbors no sympathy towards Putin, hoping that the Russian president can lose this war and the sympathies of the Russians who supported him. Zelenskyy expects the US to deliver assistance as soon as possible because the situation is becoming more and more critical every day. Air defense systems seem to be a priority for Zelenskyy, considering that Russia has caused them the most trouble when it comes to aerial attacks.

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy conveyed his appreciation to Hunt for the substantial defense aid package from the UK, totaling approximately £500,000. Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of the sanction policy, stressing the importance of prolonging restrictive measures against Russia and preventing any attempts to bypass these sanctions.

In his tweet, Zelenskyy extended gratitude to the people, Government, Prime Minister, and Parliament of the United Kingdom for their support of Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's invasion. He underscored the high regard for the partnership between the two countries.

Having such allies is the wish of every leader of a country. The Ukrainian leader can be happy with the constant support that has been coming since the first day of the war. Zelenskyy is aware that without such help, it would be difficult for him to succeed in defending against an enemy like Russia. The Ukrainian president enters the continuation of the war with even greater optimism.

Now it's up to other allied countries who can help Ukraine provide real resistance in the continuation of the war.
