Kyiv shelled Luhansk, three people were killed and at least 35 were wounded, including three children. Moscow reported that the attack on two residential buildings was carried out with an American ATACMS missile, while the air defense shot down four rockets.

The United States is allocating a new aid package of 225 million dollars to Ukraine, confirmed President Joseph Biden during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Three people died in the collapse of a house in Luhansk after shelling

Three people died when a house collapsed in Luhansk following an attack by Ukrainian armed forces, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

Seven people were rescued from the rubble, and Fire-Rescue units continue to search the area. The number of wounded in the shelling of Luhansk by Ukrainian armed forces has risen to 35, stated the Minister of Health of the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Natalia Paschenko.

It is noted that among the victims are three minors: 16, 15, and 8 years old. Earlier, it was reported that 22 were injured. "Five people are in serious condition. The children's lives are not in danger, their condition is assessed as moderate," clarified Paschenko.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Ukrainian forces attacked two residential buildings in Luhansk with an American ATACMS missile. "Four American missiles were shot down by Russian air defense systems. One missile hit two residential buildings," the Ministry stated.

Additionally, two schools, three kindergartens, and two educational institutions were damaged. Russian air defense shot down a total of 28 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Federation, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

Drones were destroyed over Crimea, the Sea of Azov, Krasnodar Region, Belgorod, and Rostov regions. Intense fighting is taking place in the Kharkiv region, around Chasiv Yar, Kupyansk, and other parts of the front. Ukrainian drones damaged a refinery in Russia's Rostov region, targeting a fuel storage facility in Belgorod.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says that Western allies must ensure continuous military support for Ukraine. Moscow has requested a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on June 14 due to Western countries allowing Kyiv to use their weapons for direct strikes on Russia.

Kyiv's partners will bear the consequences, said Russian President Vladimir Putin. He is considering an asymmetric response and supplying the West's opponents around the world with advanced long-range weapons. If Russia's security and territorial integrity are threatened, he says he will use all means of defense – including nuclear weapons.

"I announced six packages of significant funds.

I am also allocating an additional package. 225 million dollars, which will specifically go to the restoration of electrical networks. We will never leave you. I assure you, we will stand by you," emphasized Biden. According to CNN, this aid package will include ammunition for HIMARS rocket artillery systems; mortar systems and artillery shells, HAWK anti-aircraft missiles, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, 155 mm howitzers, armored vehicles, patrol boats, explosives, and spare parts.

According to Biden, Ukraine deserved the applause that resounded during the ceremony in Normandy. "You stand, you fight and it is impressive," he emphasized.

Zelensky spoke in the French National Assembly

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke in the French National Assembly.

"From the victories of free peoples 80 years ago, Europe was born – our Europe, a continent that can be a source of hope," the president emphasized, recalling the anniversary of the Allied troops' landing in Normandy.

"It was the victories won that returned Europe to humanity. Without these victories, there would be nothing, neither you, nor me, nor a free Europe as a concept," Zelensky added. According to him, during the ceremony in Normandy, he felt dual emotions: "Joy that this victory was achieved.

And a sense of duty – to fight for this victory. We live in a time when Europe has ceased to be a continent of peace. And at a time when, unfortunately, Nazism is returning. When they are again trying to reshape Europe and say that certain nations do not deserve independent existence.

All of this is aimed at Ukraine. But, as you can already see, it can go further," the president explained. According to Zelensky, the Russian regime does not recognize borders. Even Europe is not enough for it. It has already destroyed Syria and is going further, for example, in the Sahel and already taking over Africa. "Ukraine is the key to the security of all Europe," he said.
