U.S. President Joe Biden may meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington in a few days. It is known that the U.S. President and the Ukrainian President have had excellent relations for a long time, and such meetings indicate their intention to continue negotiations and strengthen ties in the future.

According to 'PRAVDA' headlines, Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyy could meet as part of the NATO summit scheduled in Washington in a few days. An official confirmed that Biden will hold several meetings in the coming period to deepen existing good relations and create new ones. His priority is the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"And while the President (Biden – ed.) will have quite a busy schedule given his commitment as the host of the summit, we’re working to set up several bilats and meetings with various world leaders on the margins of the summit, including President Zelenskyy," the official said.

In the following, the official confirmed that on July 9 there will be a meeting between the NATO-Ukraine council, after which the president will meet the two partners.

"On the afternoon of 9 July, there’ll be a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, after which the President will host an event with nearly two dozen Allies and partners who have negotiated and signed bilateral security agreements with Ukraine."

Jens Stoltenberg reacts

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is also optimistic about the future, hoping that Ukrainians will become part of NATO soon. Stoltenberg has repeatedly expressed support for Ukraine, hoping that this Eastern country can become part of this strong alliance. Ukraine's intentions to join NATO have been longstanding, which is one of the reasons why the Russian president ordered the invasion of Ukraine. Despite Russian warnings, Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian government have emphasized their intentions to join NATO, aiming to turn towards Europe and strengthen security within the country.

"I really hope that Ukraine will become an ally," said Stoltenberg.

Stoltenberg stresses that such support from NATO and numerous countries can be crucial for peace in Ukraine and for strengthening the state. The intention of all is to end this war as soon as possible, considering the chaos that could continue if this conflict persists. Of course, immense damage has already been done and problems have been created not only in Europe but globally. Stoltenberg wants the support for Ukraine to never cease.

"The stronger our support, the faster this war can end... The more commitments we make for the long term, the faster the war can end." - Stoltenberg continued.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy grateful to partners

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been lobbying for Ukraine since the beginning of the war, hoping for help from major powers. Many times in the past few months, he has emphasized the crucial need for air support for Ukraine. Although he has been frustrated and disappointed at times by the reaction of allies, after receiving Patriot air defense supplies from them, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude. The Ukrainian leader aims to strengthen his forces, seeing this supply as just the beginning of Ukraine's reinforcement.

"I want to thank our partners for fulfilling the agreements on air defense. We set ourselves the task of doubling the strength of our air shield, and today is the beginning of this," -Zelenskyy said, as quoted by Interfax Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader thanked Germany, but also the United States, which has provided unconditional support to Ukraine since the beginning of the war. Ukrainians will not stop there; they intend to continue looking for solutions for progress and defense against Russia.

"There is another great piece news: thank you to the United States for taking another step to strengthen our air defense, our Patriots. We are working further, and there will definitely be new solutions."- he continued.

Ukrainians have shown courage since the beginning of the war, sacrificing their lives for their country. Zelenskyy is proud of all the soldiers on the front lines, as well as those who have given their lives for Ukraine and its ideals. He emphasizes that Ukrainians have the necessary strength and that there are no Russian missiles they cannot shoot down. The ultimate goal is Ukraine's victory and Russia's defeat. The leader of this country hopes that the future holds even more positive outcomes for his country. Of course, with the support of allies, such a goal will be achievable. This is why Zelenskyy is grateful for the support, hoping it will continue in the future.

"The Ukrainians have already proved that there are no Russian missiles that we could not shoot down. And we are doing our best to make sure that Russian terror loses," -Voldoymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
