McLaren’s Seidl had joined the Sauber as Chief Executive Officer in a surprise shift, while Seidl is expected to oversee Sauber’s F1 partnership with Audi in 2026. Nevertheless, in terms of a post-season managerial shift, this Tuesday had been very busy with a number of key switches.

In point of fact, the switch begins after Fred Vasseur had left Alfa to join Ferrari as team principal for the next season, while in order to fill up the void, Sauber which currently races with Alfa Romeo F1 team, had hired Seidl as their Chief.

Seidl is best-known for helping McLaren F1 team’s rapid resurgence in 2019.

Meanwhile, followed by the move, Sauber said in a press release, “(Seidl) tasked with continuing the growth of the group as a whole as Sauber keeps establishing itself as one of the brightest sporting and industrial entities on the market”.

Besides, bidding farewell to Andreas, McLaren’s Lando Norris wrote in a tweet, “Farewell Andreas! It's been mega working with you these last few years. I've never seen our team looking as strong as it is now and some of that is credit to the work you've done.

Best of luck in the new job mate, I'm sure I'll see you around”. However, as McLaren had to promote their executive director Stella following Seidl’s move into Sauber as its CEO, McLaren’s Brown said, “I'm delighted that Andrea Stella will step into the Team Principal role and lead our F1 technical and operational programme.

Andrea is a highly talented, experienced and respected member of our team with a strong track record of leadership and success in Formula 1”.
