Formula 1 team bosses had voted the reigning F1 double championship title holder Max Verstappen as the best driver of 2022, the F1 had revealed on Tuesday. All ten Formula 1 team principals had been asked to handpick their favourites of the season, and the 25-year-old flying Dutchman became the best racer of the year for a second successive season. Here are the team principals who participated in the voting poll:
Mattia Binotto, Jost Capito, Christian Horner, Mike Krack, Andreas Seidl, Guenther Steiner, Otmar Szafnauer, Franz Tost, Fred Vasseur and Toto Wolff.
F1 bosses voted Verstappen as the best driver of the season
The scoring was based on Formula 1 pointing system, while the best would receive 25 points and the lowest had been 10 points.
Upon completion of the voting, Verstappen’s scores had crushed his nearest competitor, Ferrari’s Leclerc by 63 points. Here is the score-line according to F1 team principal’s voting:
