"Drive to Survive" season five receives release date; first trailer revealed

The fifth season of Netflix’s immensely popular “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” has received a premiere date, as the documentary will make its way into the streaming media trailblazer on February 24. Aside from that, Netflix had released a first look into the fifth season of its “Drive to Survive,” which is believed to have increased the F1 events' popularity in the US, at an upscaled pace, while the first trailer features an interview with the reigning F1 double championship title holder Max Verstappen.

In the matter of the fact, although, Netflix has featured a Verstappen’s interview at the first look into fifth season of its “Drive to Survive,” Verstappen had been quietly avoiding the show over recent years, as he had been quoted saying in multiple interviews that the TV show had been unfair to him and his team.

In his absence, the Red Bull boss Christian Horner alongside Geri Halliwell appeared to have handled the situation. If truth is to be told, the back-to-back F1 trophy for Verstappen alongside a poor run of form from the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton this season, might have prompted the show’s organizers to turn to the 25-year-old Flying Dutchman.

On top of that, the series seemed to be motivating a number of Americans, while the number of F1 enthusiasts had heightened up significantly since the release of “Drive to Survive”.

Aside from that, following an upscaled surge in F1’s popularity across the US, FIA, the governing body of Formula 1, had aggressively expanded across the continent last year with three F1 events in the US scheduled for 2023 season including a Las Vegas Saturday night sprint.
