Additional 6 Classified Documents Found at President Biden's Home

In a recent development, US Justice Department investigators have discovered six more classified documents at President Joe Biden's home in Delaware, as announced by Biden's lawyer, Bob Bauer, on Saturday. The discovery follows the uncovering of secret documents in November and December of last year at Biden's Wilmington residence and private office in Washington, D.C.

Investigating the Withholding of Documents

Some of the newly discovered documents are believed to be from Biden's tenure in the Senate, which spanned from 1973 to 2009, while others are thought to have been created during his time as Vice President under Barack Obama.

The Justice Department was reportedly invited to see every room in the president's Delaware house by the president himself. Robert Hur was appointed as a special counsel by Attorney General Merrick Garland earlier this month to look into the concealment of records by Biden after his tenure as Vice President had ended.

President Biden has stated that he believes the investigation will reveal that there is nothing incriminating in the documents. "I think you're going to find there's nothing there," Mr Biden said, reports BBC. His response came after a reporter asked him why he did not disclose the documents in November after they were found.

"I have no regrets," he said during a tour on Thursday of a California beach town hit hard by weeks of storms in the western US. I'm following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. It's exactly what we're doing." Bob Bauer, the president's lawyer, stated that the search of the President's home was offered in an effort to "move the investigation forward as quickly as possible." The search lasted for 12 hours and 45 minutes, during which investigators were granted full access to the entire residence.

It is worth noting that former President Donald Trump, who took hundreds of classified documents from the White House to his residence in Florida, is also under separate investigation.
