The Kremlin's announcement today vehemently rejects any comparison between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, responding to a statement made by U.S. President Joseph Biden. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, held a press conference to address the issue and expressed strong concerns about the potential threats faced by Russian citizens.

He asserted that these threats would significantly increase if Israel were to initiate an anticipated ground operation aimed at removing Hamas from Gaza. In regards to the upcoming peace summit on the Palestinian conflict scheduled to take place in Cairo on Saturday, Peskov declined to disclose who would represent Russia, stating that such matters fell within the purview of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This information was reported by "The Guardian."

Situation in the Middle East evolving, it remains to be seen how this diplomatic stand-off will impact international relations

Furthermore, Peskov noted that discussions about the Middle East situation between Russia and the United States were not occurring in bilateral formats.

Instead, these interactions took place within the framework of the Security Council, according to reports from RIA. In a significant statement, President Biden articulated his perspective on the matter, remarking, "Hamas and Putin pose different threats, but they share one common objective: the complete destruction of democracy in their respective regions." He made this statement during a nationally televised address on Thursday, as reported by Voice of America.

The Kremlin's firm stance against the comparison between President Putin and Hamas underscores their concern for Russian citizens and regional stability. As the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve, it remains to be seen how this diplomatic stand-off will impact international relations and efforts to resolve the Palestinian conflict.

The Cairo peace summit holds the promise of addressing these concerns, though the representative from Russia is yet to be announced, leaving room for further developments in this complex geopolitical situation.
