President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an exclusive interview with Reuters, firmly reiterated Ukraine's determination to reclaim its territories, pledging to continue the struggle against Russia until full control is restored. Zelensky, addressing potential U.S.

support withdrawal, emphasized that Ukraine, undeterred by the absence of American assistance, will persevere in its quest for territorial integrity. This unwavering commitment underscores the resilience of Ukraine in the face of geopolitical challenges, signaling a steadfast resolve to secure its sovereign boundaries despite external uncertainties.

Zelensky responded to questions about the impact of potential shifts in U.S. foreign policy, particularly if former President Donald Trump were to win the 2024 presidential elections. Undeterred, Zelensky declared: "If Washington suspends its military and financial aid to Kiev, Ukraine will continue to fight without the US." This resiliency, he emphasized, reflects the will of the Ukrainian people.

The Ukrainian president acknowledged Trump's promises to broker a peace agreement between Moscow and Kiev swiftly if re-elected. However, Zelensky displayed a pragmatic outlook, stating: "If it will change your foreign policy, what can I say? Ok, we will fight without you," underscoring the independent determination of Ukraine.

Ukraine will only cease its military engagements when it successfully regains control of the territories it considers its own

Zelensky identified the withdrawal of Russian forces from all territories claimed by Kiev as the sole pathway to halting the conflict.

Expressing confidence that Moscow's troops would eventually comply, he left the details of such an occurrence unspecified. Furthermore, Zelensky highlighted the universal nature of Ukrainian expectations, asserting that any American president, armed with a complete understanding of the challenges and the toll of the ongoing conflict, would extend support to Ukraine.

The president's unwavering stance underscores the gravity of the situation, emphasizing that the quest for peace and territorial integrity is not contingent on external assistance. As Ukraine navigates the complex geopolitical landscape, Zelensky remains steadfast in his commitment to securing the nation's sovereign boundaries, irrespective of changes in international alliances or support.
