One Piece Odyssey new RPG with original story by Eiichiro Oda

One Piece Odyssey is a new RPG set in the One Piece universe announced by Bandai Namco. Odyssey will have an original story and new characters developed by series creator Eiichiro Oda. The game was unveiled during a special livestream dedicated to the series and arrives during the celebrations for the manga's 25th anniversary.
One Piece Odyssey will be released in 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC. The official statement by Bandai Namco said: "The game has all the humor and chemistry of the anime thanks to the involvement of Oda and the original Japanese cast for the dub." Katsuaki Tsuzuki, Producer of Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc added: "We are delighted to join the One Piece 25th anniversary celebrations with the release of One Piece Odyssey.
We have joined forces with ILCA Inc. and are working hard in full partnership with Eiichiro Oda to create an extraordinary adventure set in the world of One Piece, in a game that we hope will be able to exceed the expectations of the players.
" Here is the plot of the game: "During their journey, the Straw Hat crew led by Monkey D. Luffy is engulfed in a huge storm and ends up on a lush, mysterious island, each separated from the others and with the Thousand Sunny completely destroyed then on a journey through an adventurous path filled with wonders of nature, powerful enemies and strange encounters with the islanders.
Players will have to work with Luffy and the crew members to be able to set sail again!"
About One Piece
Over one hundred volumes of the manga and a thousand episodes of the anime later, Eiichiro Oda's One Piece continues to grind record numbers, ranking among the longest-running and most popular Japanese comics in history.
The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body took on the properties of rubber after inadvertently ingesting the devil fruit Gom Gom. Gathering a crew around him, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the legendary One Piece treasure and pursuing the dream of becoming the new Pirate King.
One Piece is adapted into an anime television series, produced by Toei Animation and broadcast in Japan on Fuji TV from 20 October 1999. Toei Animation also produced 13 television specials, 14 anime films, two 3D short films, an ONA and an OAV.
Several companies have drawn merchandise of various kinds, such as soundtracks, video games and toys. One Piece has enjoyed extraordinary success. Several volumes of the manga hit sales and initial run records in Japan. With over 500 million copies in circulation by 2022, it is the manga that has sold the most in the world.
On 15 June 2015 it also entered the Guinness Book of Records as a comic series drawn by a single author with the highest number of copies published: over 320 million.
