Ubisoft secretly unveiled a remaster of the first Assassin’s Creed

Ubisoft, with an introduction to the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed series, showed a short clip of the first Assassin’s Creed, in which one experienced eye noticed something unusual.

An experienced eye on Twitter @Ikraik did not miss the obvious difference in appearance from the original. The colors are different, and the textures seem to be more detailed as well. “Sigh. I know a remake when I see one #AC15 #AssassinsCreed” he wrote.

And then we got an exclusive. Ubisoft's community manager Shauna Jones liked Filip's comment about the remaster, thus giving him legitimacy.

Ubisoft will unveil the new Assassin’s Creed in late summer

And while the bulk of the 6-minute stream is dedicated to Valhalla and the new rogue-like mode, future titles took just a few seconds.

That was enough just for an invitation to one new presentation when they will be ready to reveal more. “Join us this September as we unveil the future of Assassin’s Creed during a special event,” they announced.

“We can’t wait to show you what’s in store”. Tuesday’s live stream was also used to announce new content coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. “This summer we’re offering a unique take on Assassin’s Creed gameplay,” said Jose Araiza, producer of Valhalla’s extended experience.

“It is my pleasure to present the first look at our latest and most ambitious game mode, The Forgotten Saga, which will be free to all Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players. “We’re excited for you to experience this summer a new rogue-lite-inspired journey into Niflheim, the spectacular realm of the dead.

“And stay tuned until the end of the year for one last surprise,” he added. “We will reveal the last episode of Eivor’s story as a free chapter for all players as well”. Jason Schreier revealed earlier this year that Ubisoft is really preparing something with the original Assassin’s Creed.

But that's not all. Reportedly, a new Assassin’s Creed title is also under development, more focused and with an emphasis on stealth. As before.
