The State of Play games presentation drew to a close last night, and it left the gaming community buzzing with anticipation. A slew of new titles are set to grace our screens in the coming months, carrying both much-loved classics and quirky new ventures.

From the return of fan-favorite franchises to entirely unique gaming experiences, here's a roundup of what players can expect.

Awaited Returns and Breathtaking Expansions

Perhaps the most anticipated announcement was that of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, slated for a February 2024 release.

The beloved Cloud and his companions are set for another globe-trotting adventure, promising intricate details and a vast in-game world. Fans of the series have an added treat; the Twin Pack allows them to relive the glory of the original Final Fantasy VII Remake through its enhanced and expanded version, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

Then there's Marvel's Spider-man 2, an endeavor that promises to swing beyond expectations. The game expands from New York to Brooklyn and Queens, giving players an extensive playground. And as if swinging across the city wasn’t exhilarating enough, Spidey now comes with a wardrobe of mission-compatible suits.

Kudos to Insomniac Games for what seems to be a spectacular PlayStation 5 version. Capcom's announcement was no less thrilling. Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways will haunt both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 starting September 21.

Meanwhile, the spine-chilling Resident Evil 4 for PSVR 2 is slated for a winter release, keeping fans in suspense about its exact launch date.

New Horizons and Eccentric Ventures

In a delightful twist, Bandai Namco will unveil Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn on November 9.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment promise a deep dive into the Avatar universe with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Players can look forward to exploring fresh frontiers while reconnecting with a lost heritage. Yet, amidst these epic tales, a peculiar title stands out - Baby Steps.

This walking simulator, an unexpected highlight from State of Play, places adults in infant shoes, literally. The aim? Navigating challenging terrains one tiny step at a time. Expect inevitable tumbles and hearty laughter when it launches in 2024.

A slew of other games, including Roblox for PS4, Ghostbusters Rise, and Jack and the Ghostrunner 2, are set to entertain players throughout the end of 2023 and beyond. And come February, gamers can dive into Helldivers, battling swarms of insects on PlayStation 5.
