Sea of Thieves, once an Xbox exclusive, took a big step forward when it recently appeared on PlayStation. Expectations were quite modest, but this move surprised many - the game was met with enthusiasm, and the support Sony gave to developer Rare during the porting process deserves praise.

A very successful collaboration resulted in the great popularity of the title, and the game made a big step forward. The announcement of the arrival of Sea of Thieves on PlayStation caused huge interest among players, which was also reflected in the number of pre-orders.

The game became the most pre-ordered on the PlayStation platform before its official release. And when it arrived, the PS5 version exceeded expectations - it was on par with, if not better than, the Xbox Series X version. Very good and rave reviews from very respectable gamers and reviewers from day one.

With much excitement surrounding its launch, Sea of Thieves quickly became one of the biggest releases for PlayStation in April. PlayStation Blog reported that Sea of Thieves was the most downloaded PS5 game in Europe. In the US and Canada, it took an impressive third place, placing it among the top 3 games in all key regions.

What makes this success even more impressive is the fact that Sea of Thieves was only available for one day in April. It made its debut on PS5 on April 30, which means it had less time than the competition to generate additional sales.

However, this did not prevent this title from achieving significant success. In addition to Sea of Thieves, other titles also showed impressive results on the PlayStation platform. Stellar Blade was among the top 4 most downloaded titles in both regions, while Helldivers 2 for PlayStation took the top spot in the US and Canada.

Overall, first-party games, regardless of whether they're from PlayStation or Xbox, performed very well on the PlayStation platform last month. The popularity and downloads of the game do not stop, and every day the number of players grows. We hope for more such collaborations in the future.
