Cyberpunk 2077 became notorious in the gaming industry for its disastrous launch. However, the studio received a lot of positive praise for turning things around. It now has many positive reviews and is possibly one of the best games in the industry with a huge fan base of different ages around the world Fans have even claimed that the game would have won the Game of the Year award if it had been released in this state in 2020.

CD Projekt Red also intended to enrich the experience with multiplayer, but this mode was canceled to prioritize fixing the core content of the game. Many fans were disappointed by this, but now there is good news for them.

Modders have taken matters into their own hands and are now creating a multiplayer mod for the game. JuiceHead shared a 9-minute video on YouTube about the mod known as CyberMP. The video explains the mod, highlighting the current challenges the team is facing, the latest updates, and co-op gameplay.

According to the video, this mod unlocks the chaotic fun of open-world co-op that one would expect. Players can find open-world races, deathmatches, and free roam, and the best part is that the mod works quite well. It should be noted that the mod is still in the pre-alpha phase, so fans should not expect it to arrive soon.

There is still a lot of work to be done on the mod, so its release is likely far off. However, this project has many people excited about the idea of multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, modders have confirmed that quests will not be available in co-op.

Modders have been working on the project since last year and have made significant progress despite the challenges of such an ambitious mod. CD Projekt Red is now finished with the game and is focusing on the sequels to The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077.

Therefore, many fans are happy to see modders taking matters into their own hands and already delivering what looks like a solid concept. This outcome of the event was sought by many during the past 5 years, and now we will finally get Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mode.
