Tiger Woods: former wife supports him with children

Golf champion Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren met through Swedish professional golfer Jesper Parnevik, whose children she nursed. The wedding ceremony took place at hole 19 of one of the three golf courses of the luxury hotel Sandy Lane in Barbados.

On June 18th, 2007, the couple had their first child Sam Alexis Woods. On February 8, 2009, the couple's second child, Charlie Axel, was born. In December 2009, his marriage to Woods was the subject of great media attention, after the sportsman admitted his infidelity.

Woods later announced that he would take an indefinite hiatus from golf to devote himself to the family. Nonetheless, Nordegren and Woods formalized their divorce in Panama City, Florida on August 23, 2010. According to People weekly, Elin Nordergren will receive a minimum of $ 100 million to a maximum of $ 500 million in alimony and property.

In April 2021, a couple of weeks after his accident, a source revealed to People’s magazine that Tiger Woods was spending as much time as possible with his kids. The mother of his kids, Elin Nordegren, is his ex-wife, and they separated in 2010.

However, as the source revealed, she was doing everything in her power to make sure he was getting the love and support from his kids. The insider, talking about Elin’s role in ensuring the kids’ involvement, revealed: "She has bent over backward to make sure that he can see the kids while he recovers from his injuries. He sees the kids a lot.

Maybe not every day, but almost every day. A lot of that is because of Elin, who is just amazing. She’s been incredible since the crash. She has bent over backwards to make sure that he can see the kids while he recovers from his injuries.

Tiger and Elin are working well to make sure that the kids have as much access to them as they want. The kids can go to mom’s or dad’s anytime they want. And there’s very little jealousy over who gets to spend what time with the kids." Considered among the best golfers of all time, as well as the best of the modern era, Woods has won 110 professional tournaments, including 15 majors, in his multi-decade career, making him the most successful player in history.

He held the top position in the world rankings for a total of 683 weeks, including 281 consecutive weeks (from 12 June 2005 to 30 October 2010), and is the only golfer to have won all four major tournaments of the modern era in the 'span of a single year (between 2000 and 2001).

In 2014 he became the first sportsman in the world to have exceeded a billion dollars in earnings from various sponsors. In 2019, President Donald Trump awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States of America.
