Popular Australian singer, Sia, reveals autism diagnosis

Sia is one of the greatest artists in the world who always spoke openly about her life and plans. After gaining huge success with the 2021 movie 'Music', which portrays an autistic girl and the problems she faces, Sia faced a lot of criticism.

Now, finally, this popular singer and producer has publicly admitted that she has autism. 'For 45 years, I was like … 'I've got to go put my human suit on,'- Sia said, as quoted by dailymail.co.uk 'And only in the last two years have I become fully, fully myself.'

She stressed that sometimes she feels like she is not worthy of the love of others. It seems that a sense of inferiority and shame was instilled in her mind from early childhood, which caused enormous problems throughout her life.

Sia is trying to solve that problem. 'Nobody can ever know and love you when you’re filled with secrets and … living in shame.'

Sia talks about her movie

Autistic people have many problems while growing up, and encounter much greater difficulties than others.

Lack of understanding of the environment, poor self-image, negative emotions because of this, are just some of the things that autistic people face. In her movie, Sia tried to show what autism is and how some people deal with it.

'We don’t feel like pieces of trash for the first time in our lives, and we feel seen for the first time in our lives for who we actually are, and then we can start going out into the world and just operating as humans and human beings with hearts and not pretending to be anything,'- she said.

Certainly, with this movie, the awareness of others regarding autistic people has developed, and it is of great help to autistic people and their families.
