After eight years of the divorce-process, Oscar winner Halle Berry and French actor Olivier Martinez have officially divorced. Having been married for five years, the couple filed for divorce in 2015. It was finalized in 2016, but the former partners continued negotiating custody and maintenance of their son.

Obviously, love is not enough to keep a marriage together and the couple has now come to the end of their marriage. This is a reminder that although relationships can be built on love, there are other factors that contribute to the success of a marriage.

It's hard for both parties to go through a divorce, especially when there are children involved. They will need to negotiate the custody arrangements and financial support for their son in order to ensure that he is taken care of.

After reaching an agreement, the actors officially separated this month. According to a source close to the actress, she is ready to move on and feels the entire process has been too long and drawn out. She is tired of the drama and stress that the process has caused, and is now looking forward to moving on with her life.

Halle Berry and the process

An actress close to her said she wanted to finalize everything. As part of joint custody, Berry and Martinez agreed to pay Martinez $8,000 a month in child support, 4.3% of her income over $2 million in additional support, and all extracurricular activities for her son at a private school, uniforms, and supplies.

The public reaction to this agreement was mixed; some people felt that it was not enough and that Martinez should have paid more, while others felt that the agreement was fair and that Berry was generous in the amount of support she was offering.

Despite this, both Berry and Martinez have agreed that they will work together to ensure that their son is taken care of in the future. Life is a dynamic journey filled with ups and downs, joys and sorrows, triumphs and failures. No matter the circumstances, one thing remains constant: life must continue.
