Having become a huge star as a teenager, Naomi Campbell decided to pursue a career as a model. In spite of the fact that she achieved her goal, she also felt the huge consequences that come from fame. Campbell went into the world of addiction, which is probably the identical story of many who became popular in their childhood or teenage days.

Naomi has become addicted to drugs, and the situation has gone too far. In trying to find salvation in that, she only ended up creating more problems for herself to deal with. She repressed her emotions and wanted to forget many things, but she did not succeed in doing so.

"When you try to cover up something, your feelings, You spoke about abandonment. I tried to cover it up with something. You can't cover it up. I was killing myself. It was very painful," Naomi said.

Gianni Versace and his death

During the early days of her career, Gianni Versace was very supportive of her.

Without him, it would be difficult for her to reach such heights. When he died, it was a very traumatic experience for her, and she did not know how to handle it at the time. "He was very sensitive about how I felt, as if he pushed me.

He would push me to get out and move on when I didn't think I had it in me. So when he died, my grief became great," Naomi continued. Things had gone so far that she realized it was time to seek help. It turned out to be a great thing.

Naomi made huge progress, got rid of addiction and became the best version of herself. Naomi also mentioned the moment in 1999 when she collapsed on the set. That's just one of the things. She experienced a lot of ugly things between 1998 and 2005.

That was a period when she did not want to look at herself in the mirror. Addiction is one way we suppress our emotions, but it is never the solution.
