The entertainment world was rocked over the weekend by the tragic news of Matthew Perry's untimely passing. The beloved "Friends" star, who died in an apparent drowning, has left countless fans and colleagues in mourning. As tributes pour in from across the globe, it's evident that Perry's legacy extends far beyond the confines of Central Perk.

Tributes from the "Friends" Family

The official "Friends" account expressed the collective grief of the show's cast and crew, stating, "We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry's passing. He was a true gift to us all.

Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans." Many of Perry's co-stars from "Friends" took to social media to express their sorrow. Paget Brewster, who briefly played a love interest for Perry's iconic character, Chandler Bing, shared her memories: "He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after," Brewster penned. "Please read his book.

It was his legacy to help. He won't rest in peace though.. He's already too busy making everyone laugh up there." Morgan Fairchild, who portrayed Chandler's flamboyant mother, expressed her shock, "The loss of such a brilliant young actor is a shock.

I'm sending love & condolences to his friends & family, especially his dad, John Bennett Perry, with whom I had the pleasure of working on 'Flamingo Road' & 'Falcon Crest.' " Maggie Wheeler, known to fans as the hilariously unforgettable Janice, shared a heartfelt message alongside a nostalgic photo, "The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on.

I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared."

Beyond Central Perk: Colleagues Remember Perry

Yvette Nicole Brown, who co-starred with Perry in the 2010s sitcom "The Odd Couple," lamented the brevity of Perry's life, stating, "54 is too young to go.

We love you, Matty!" Wendell Pierce, another co-star from "The Odd Couple," reflected on their time together: "For 2 years Matthew Perry was my boss, my colleague, and a giving, kind, funny man. I pray and hope he is at peace." Matthew Perry's untimely death serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life.
