Digestive issues have become increasingly prevalent in contemporary society. When coupled with other unhealthy habits, the situation can deteriorate further. A prime example of such a detrimental combination is prolonged toilet sessions, mobile phone scrolling, and hard stools.

This amalgamation can exacerbate the body's tendency to delay bowel movements, thereby exacerbating digestive complications. To be clear, the mobile phone itself is not the root cause; however, sitting for extended periods with it on the toilet can contribute to the development of issues like hemorrhoids and bleeding during bowel movements.

Additionally, several studies have pointed out that mobile phones are one of the most bacteria-laden objects, often carrying harmful strains like Escherichia coli. Addressing digestive problems necessitates a focus on dietary choices.

It's essential to reduce the consumption of dry foods, such as sandwiches, and opt for a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Furthermore, heavy, greasy foods can adversely affect intestinal health. Emphasizing the intake of green leafy vegetables like lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard, kale, as well as legumes such as cabbage, kale, cauliflower, and the like is advised.

Certain fruits, such as apples, pears, and prunes, are particularly beneficial for digestion, especially when eaten with their peels, which are rich in fiber. Fruit compotes, especially those made from plums, prunes, or figs, are also highly advantageous.

Consider incorporating chia seeds or flax seeds into your diet, perhaps by adding them to yogurt. Adequate hydration is of paramount importance for a healthy digestive system. Consume plenty of plain water and light vegetable soups.

Probiotics, found in yogurt, can aid in improving digestion. Many individuals have reported that water with added magnesium is beneficial in this regard. Regular physical activity plays a pivotal role in enhancing digestion.

Daily walks can stimulate bowel activity and are an essential component of maintaining a healthy digestive system. By paying attention to your dietary choices, fluid intake, and physical activity, you can take proactive steps to improve your digestive health and overall well-being.
