Taylor Swift fans were treated to a double dose of excitement yesterday: the release of her long-awaited 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, and the unveiling of the music video for her lead single "Fortnight" featuring Post Malone.

The stunning "Fortnight" video has already racked up over 10 million views in just nine hours, a testament to Swift's enduring global popularity. The visually stunning footage paints a picture of a passionate, albeit short-lived, romance.

Swift and Post Malone portray ex-lovers who, according to the song's lyrics, were involved in a fleeting 14-day affair. The video adds another layer of intrigue with the appearance of Hollywood veterans Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles, who play a pair of enigmatic scientists who conduct tests on Swift's character.

The last scene leaves the audience thinking, reminiscent of the final frame of a silent film. On social media, Swift expressed her artistic vision for the video: "I wanted to bring to life the worlds I imagined while making this music.

Almost everything in the video is a metaphor or a reference to some corner of the album." She continued, "For me, this video proved to be the perfect visual representation of the album and the stories I tell in it. Post Malone blew me away on set as our tortured, tragic hero, and I'm incredibly grateful for everything he brought to this collaboration.

" The Tortured Poets Department hit streaming services on Friday at midnight EST, which means 6:00 a.m. ET for international fans. The standard edition contains 16 tracks, offering a diverse sonic palette for listeners to explore.

For die-hard Swifties, there's even more to dig into: four exclusive vinyl editions come bundled with each bonus track. The album boasts not one, but two high-profile collaborations - the aforementioned "Fortnight" with Post Malone and another exciting track with Florence and the Machine.

With critical acclaim already coming in The Tortured Poets Department promises to be another chart success for Taylor Swift.
