Alex Morgan is the most famous soccer player in the USA, thanks to a perfect combination of strength, athleticism, class and beauty. Her victories speak for themselves about her career and her influence beyond the world of soccer.
In December 2014 Morgan married the soccer player Servando Carrasco: the couple has a daughter, Charlie Elena, born on 7 May 2020. In August 2012 she signed a contract with Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing for the creation of the literary tetralogy The Kick.
She later stated that she wanted to inspire her teenage girls' books with her and show her love for soccer. On 1 September 2012 the publisher announced the release date of the first two novels. Saving the Team debuted at number seven on the New York Times Best Selling Book Chart in the Children's Middle Grade category.
In June 2015 Amazon Prime published a pilot episode of The Kicks, based on the literary tetralogy of the same name, with David Babcock as screenwriter, from which a canonical series consisting of nine episodes was then taken, aired between August and on September 2016.
In September 2015, she appeared on the cover of the US edition of the FIFA 16 football video game, alongside Argentine footballer Lionel Messi. In 2018 she was the protagonist together with Siena Agudong of the comedy Alex and Me.
Alex talked about her diet during an interview with Insider. The American said her diet is based on anti-inflammatory, nutrient-rich foods to help reduce physical stress and promote faster recovery. In general, Morgan loves to eat berries, sweet potatoes and green leafy vegetables, rocket, but also a few exceptions to the rule, such as pancakes.
Alex Morgan's career
She trained in the California Golden Bears, before playing for various US teams, in both the United Soccer Leagues W-League and Women's Professional Soccer. In 2013 she made her National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) debut with Portland Thorns, winning the league in the inaugural season.
After three seasons, in 2016 she moved to Orlando Pride, another NWSL club. In January 2017, she moved to Europe to play on a six-month loan for Olympique Lyon. With the shirt of the French team she has scored 12 goals in 16 official matches between the league and cups and, at the end of the 2016-2017 season, she has conquered a historic treble (Division 1 Féminine, Coupe de France Féminine and UEFA Women's Champions League).
In 2017 she returns to Orlando Pride, playing for the next three seasons. In September 2020 she moved to Europe, signing a contract until the end of the calendar year with Tottenham, a club in the FA Women's Super League. In early 2021 she returns to Orlando Pride.
In December 2021 she came back to the San Diego Wave as part of a trade. On March 31, 2010, she made her debut with the US national team in a 1-0 win against Mexico. On the following 6 October you scored your first goal for the national team, in the 2-1 win against China.
With the United States she has scored 115 goals in 190 official matches, also covering the role of captain between 2018 and 2019. In 2012 she won the gold medal at the Olympic tournament in London, while in 2015 and 2019 she won the world championship.
